သူငယ္ခ်င္းဖတ္ဖုိ႔ (email post)

သူငယ္ခ်င္း -
မင္းတို႔တည္ေထာင္ထားတယ္ဆိုတဲ့ Web Portal ကို လာလည္ပါဦးဆိုလို႔ ငါလာသြားတယ္။
ဒါေပမယ့္ ဝင္ဝင္ခ်င္းပဲ Home Page မွာေရးထားတဲ့ စည္းကမ္းခ်က္ကို ေတြ႔တာနဲ႔ ငါလွည့္ျပန္ခဲ့တယ္ကြာ။ မင္းတို႔ရဲ႕ “ႏိုုင္ငံေရးလံုးဝမေရးရ” ဆိုတဲ့ စည္းကမ္းခ်က္ႀကီးေလ။ အဲဒါနဲ႔ ပတ္သတ္ၿပီး ေဆြးေႏြးခ်င္လို႔ ငါ ဒီစာေလးေရးလိုက္တာပါ သူငယ္ခ်င္းေရ။
ဒီလိုေရးထားတာကိုေတြ႔ေတာ့ ငါ ခံစားမိလုိက္တာက မင္းတို႔ဟာအဲဒီ “ႏို္င္ငံေရး” ဆိုတဲ့စကားလံုးကို အတိအက် နားမလည္ႏိုင္ေသးဘူး ဆိုတာပါပဲ။ ငါသိသေလာက္ေတာ့ မင္းတို႔ေျပာခ်င္တဲ့ ႏိုင္ငံေရးဆိုတာေတြက အစိုးရကို ေဝဖန္တာ၊ အတိုက္အခံကို ေထာက္ခံတာ၊ ပါတီေထာင္တာ၊ ဆႏၵျပတာေတြကို ဆိုလိုတာမဟုတ္လား။ ဒါဆိုလည္း ႏိုင္ငံေရးမေရးရ ဆိုတဲ့ေနရာမွာ အစိုးရကိုမေဝဖန္ရ လို႔ပဲေရးသင့္တာေပါ့ကြာ။ တကယ္ေတာ့ ႏိုင္ငံေရးဆိုတာ ႏိုင္ငံသားတိုင္းနဲ႔ သက္ဆိုင္တဲ့ အေရးကိစၥ၊ တတိုင္းျပည္လံုး အတိုင္းအတာနဲ႔ လုပ္ရမယ့္ အေရးကိစၥေတြကိုေခၚတဲ့ ႏိုင္ငံ့အေရး ကိုေျပာတာပါသူငယ္ခ်င္းေရ။ အစိုးရကိုျဖဳတ္ခ်ဖို႔၊ အတိုက္အခံကို အားေပးဖို႔ဆိုတာထက္ ကိုယ္ပါဝင္ႏိုင္တဲ့ ေနရာတစ္ခုကေန တိုင္းျပည္နဲ႔ လူမ်ဳိး အက်ဳိးရိွမယ့္ ႏိုင္ငံ့အေရးကိုတတ္ႏိုင္သေလာက္ လုပ္ၾကရလိမ့္မယ္၊ ေျပာၾကရလိမ့္မယ္၊ ေနာက္ၿပီး ေရးၾကရလိမ့္မယ္သူငယ္ခ်င္း။
လူေတြက ဒီမိုကေရစီ လိုခ်င္တယ္၊ ဒီမိုကေရစီရရင္ ခ်မ္းသာၿပီ၊ လူစဥ္မီၿပီလို႔ ထင္ေနၾကတယ္။ လူ႔အခြင့္အေရးေတြ အျပည့္အဝရလာတာနဲ႔ မနက္ျဖန္ေတာ့ ထိုင္း၊ စကၤာပူကိုမီၿပီ၊ သန္ဘက္ခါေတာ့ ဂ်ပန္ကိုမီၿပီ၊ ေနာက္တစ္ရက္က် အေမရိကန္ကိုမီမယ္လို႔ ယံုၾကည္ေနၾကတယ္။ ကမာၻမွာ ဆင္းရဲေနတဲ့ ဒီမိုကေရစီႏိုင္ငံေတြ အမ်ားႀကီးဆိုတာ သတိထားမိေစခ်င္တယ္ကြာ။ ငါတို႔ အိမ္နီးခ်င္း ဘဂၤလာေဒ့ရွ္ဟာ ဒီမုိကေရ စီႏိုင္ငံေတာ္ႀကီးေပါ့။ ဒီေန႔အစိုးရေျပာင္း၊ ေနာက္ေန႔ ဒီမိုကေရစီႏိုင္ငံလို႔ ေၾကညာတာနဲ႔ ငါတို႔ႏိုင္ငံ နတ္ေရကန္ထဲက်သလို ျဖစ္မလာေသးပါဘူး။ ငါတို႔ ျမန္မာလည္း ဒီမိုကေရစီဖြံ႔ၿဖိဳးလာတဲ့အခါ ဘဂၤလားေဒ့ရွ္လို ျဖစ္ခ်င္လား၊ ဂ်ပန္လိုျဖစ္ခ်င္လား။ ဒါ ငါတို႔ေရြးရလိမ့္ သူငယ္ခ်င္း။ ဒီမုိကေရစီကို မင္းလည္းလိုခ်င္တယ္၊ ငါလည္းခ်စ္တယ္။ ဒါေပမယ့္ သူမ်ားေတြလို ပါတီထဲလည္း မပါရဲဘူး။ လမ္းေပၚလည္း မထြက္ရဲဘူးမဟုတ္လား။ ဒီေတာ့ ငါတို႔ေတြလုပ္သင့္တာက အစိုးရအေျပာင္းအလဲကို ရည္ညႊန္းတာမဟုတ္တဲ့ ႏိုင္ငံေရးပဲ သူငယ္ခ်င္း။ ဒီလိုေျပာလို႔ ငါတာဝန္မဲ့တာမဟုတ္ဘူးေနာ္။ တာဝန္ခဲြယူတာပါ။ ဒီေန႔ေခတ္ႀကီးမွာ အစိုးရကို အတိုက္အခံလုပ္ေနတဲ့ အဖြဲ႔ေတြဟာ လက္ဆယ္ေခ်ာင္း ဘယ္ကမလဲ။ သံဃာေတြခ်ည္းပဲကိုက ၂ ဖြဲ႔ ၃ ဖြဲ႔၊ ေက်ာင္းသားအဖြဲ႔ကခ်ည္းပဲ ၅ ဖြဲ႔ေလာက္၊ ျပည္ပေရာက္ အစိုးရက ၂ ဖြဲ႔ေလာက္၊ ျပည္တြင္းမွာ UG ဆန္ဆန္လုပ္ေနၾကတာက ၅ ဖြဲ႔ေလာက္၊ လက္နက္ကိုင္ထားတာ၊ တိုင္းရင္းသားအဖြဲ႔အစည္းဆိုတာေတြနဲ႔ ေပါင္းလိုက္ရင္ ... သူငယ္ခ်င္းေရ - တေန႔ေန႔မ်ား ဒီမိုကေရစီရခဲ့ရင္ အားလံုးညီညီညြတ္ညြတ္ ျပန္ေပါင္းထုပ္ႏိုင္ၾကပါေတာ့မလားပဲ။ ကဲ ဒီလူေတြက အစိုးရေျပာင္းဖို႔၊ စနစ္ေျပာင္းဖို႔ လုပ္ေနၾကၿပီဆိုေတာ့ ငါတို႔ကလည္း ကိုယ္တတ္ႏိုင္တဲ့ဘက္က လုပ္ႏိုင္တဲ့ ႏိုင္ငံေရးကို လုပ္ၾကရလိမ့္မယ္။ ျပည္တြင္းက နာမည္ႀကီးမဂၢဇင္းတစ္ခုက အယ္ဒီတာခ်ဳပ္တစ္ေယာက္ေျပာတာေလး သတိရတယ္။ လုပ္ခ်င္တာေတြ လုပ္ခြင့္မရေသးခင္မွာ လုပ္သင့္တာလုပ္ၾကရတယ္ဆိုတာ မွန္ေပမယ့္ လုပ္ႏိုင္တာလည္း လုပ္ထားၾကရ မယ္တဲ့ေလ။ သူငယ္ခ်င္း ငါတို႔ ဘာလုပ္ထားႏိုင္မလဲ။ ဒီမိုကေရစီရလာရင္ အဆင္သင့္ျဖစ္ေနေအာင္ ငါတို႔ ဘာေတြျပင္ဆင္ထားၾကမလဲ။ ငါေတာ့ အဲဒီႏိုင္ငံေရး လုပ္ခ်င္တယ္ကြာ။ ႏိုင္ငံ့အေရးေပါ့။ ငါတို႔ေတြ အဖြဲ႔အစည္းတစ္ခုအေနနဲ႔ မဟုတ္ဘဲ တစ္ဦးခ်င္းလုပ္ထားႏိုင္တာေတြမွာ လူတစ္ဦးခ်င္းစီရဲ႕ စည္းကမ္းနဲ႔ ကိုယ္က်င့္တရားေတြ ျပန္ေကာင္းမြန္လာေအာင္၊ အက်င့္ပ်က္လာဘ္စားမႈေတြကို အားမေပးမိေအာင္၊ အားကစား၊ ပညာေရးနဲ႔ က်န္းမာေရး ဆုတ္ယုတ္ေနမႈေတြကို ျပန္တိုးတက္လာေအာင္ တဘက္တလမ္းက ဝင္ကူၾကဖို႔ေတြဟာ ထိပ္ဆံုးက ဦးစားေပးရမယ့္ အလုပ္ေတြေပါ့သူငယ္ခ်င္း။ ဒါေတြဟာ ဒီမိုကေရစီမွ မဟုတ္ပါဘူးကြာ။ ဘယ္စနစ္၊ ဘယ္တိုင္းျပည္အတြက္မဆို လိုအပ္လွတဲ့ အေျခခံအုတ္ျမစ္ စစ္စစ္ေတြပါပဲ။ စိတ္မေကာင္းစရာက ငါတို႔ႏိုင္ငံမွာ ဒါေတြဟာ ဆိုးဆိုးရြားရြားပ်က္စီးေနတာပါပဲ။
သူငယ္ခ်င္း - မင္း သတိထားမိလားေတာ့ မသိဘူး။ ငါတို႔ႏိုင္ငံမွာက လူေတြကို စည္းကမ္း လိုက္နာေစခ်င္ရင္ ဒဏ္ေငြေကာက္တဲ့ နည္းလမ္းကို သံုးတယ္ေနာ္။ တိတိက်က်လိုက္ၿပီး ဒဏ္ေငြေကာက္ႏိုင္သလားဆိုေတာ့ မေကာက္ႏိုင္ပါဘူး။ ဒဏ္ေငြေတြ၊ ေထာင္ဒဏ္ေတြနဲ႔သာ ျခိမ္းေျခာက္ေနတာ - ဘာျဖစ္လို႔ ဒီစည္းကမ္းတစ္ခုခုကို လူေတြ လိုက္နာသင့္သလဲ ဆိုတာမ်ဳိးကို တာဝန္ရိွသူေတြက လူေတြနားဝင္ေအာင္ေတာ့ ဘယ္တုန္းကမွ ရွင္းမျပခဲ့ဘူး။ မလုပ္နဲ႔ လုပ္ရင္ ဒဏ္ေငြဆိုတာပဲ ထပ္ခါတလဲလဲ ေၾကညာေနတာမဟုတ္လား။ ဒီေတာ့ လူလစ္ရင္၊ ေစာင့္ဖမ္းမယ့္လူ မရိွရင္ လုပ္ခ်င္တာေတြ လုပ္လာၾကေရာ။ ဒီလိုစည္းကမ္းေဖာက္လုိက္လို႔ ဘာအက်ဳိးအျပစ္ေတြ ျဖစ္လာသလဲ မေတြးၾကေတာ့ဘူးေလ။
ဥပမာ - အစိုးရရံုး အေဆာက္အဦးက ေလွခါးေကြ႔ေလးေတြမွာ ကြမ္းတံေတြးေတြ ေထြးၾကတယ္။ မေထြးရ၊ ဒဏ္ေငြ ဆိုတာၾကီးလည္း ေရးထားတယ္။ ဒါေပမယ့္ ရံုးကလူကလည္း ေထြးတယ္။ အလုပ္ကိစၥလာတဲ့ အျပင္လူကလည္း ေထြးတယ္။ အဖမ္းခံရတဲ့ လူရိွတယ္လို႔လည္း တခါမွ မၾကားမိပါဘူးကြာ။ တကယ္ေတာ့ ဒဏ္ေငြေတြ ဘာေတြ ေရးေနစရာကို မလိုပါဘူး။ အေဆာက္အဦးရဲ႕ ေလွခါးထစ္ဟာ ကြမ္းတံေတြး ေထြးရမယ့္ေနရာ မဟုတ္ဘူးဆိုတာ လူတိုင္းသိေနတာပဲ မဟုတ္လား။ အဲဒီလုိ စည္းကမ္းမဲ့ တံေတြးေထြးတဲ့ လူေတြဟာ သူတို႔အိမ္က အိမ္ေထာင့္ေလးေတြ၊ အဝတ္ဘီရိုနားေတြ၊ ေသာက္ေရအိုးစဥ္နားေတြမွာေရာ ကြမ္းတံေတြး ေထြးေနၾကမယ္ထင္လား။ မလုပ္ပါဘူး သူငယ္ခ်င္းေရ။ ကိုယ့္အိမ္ေလကြာ။ ကိုယ့္အိမ္ညစ္ပတ္မွာ၊ ေရာဂါပိုးမႊားရိွလာမွာ၊ အျမင္မေတာ္ စိုးရိမ္တယ္ေလ။ လူတစ္ဦးခ်င္းစီရဲ႕ စည္းကမ္းနဲ႔ ကိုယ္က်င့္တရားဆိုတာ အဲဒါပါပဲ။ ဒါေလးက သိပ္ေသးလြန္းတဲ့ ဥပမာပါ။ ငါတို႔ဟာ သမိုင္းေၾကာင္းေကာင္းတဲ့ႏိုင္ငံ၊ ယဥ္ေက်းမႈျမင့္မားတဲ့ႏုိင္ငံ၊ ႏိုင္ငံႀကီးသားေတြ ေနတဲ့ႏိုင္ငံဆို ဘယ္အစိုးရပဲ အုပ္ခ်ဳပ္ေနပါေစ - လူတစ္ဦးခ်င္းစီဟာ ေအာက္တန္းက်တဲ့ စိတ္ညစ္ေတြ ရိွမေနသင့္ဘူး။ ဒါဟာ ပညာမတတ္တာနဲ႔လည္း မဆုိင္ဘူး။ သူတို႔မွာ ပင္ကိုရိွၿပီးသား အသိဥာဏ္တစ္ခုပါပဲ။ နည္းနည္းေလာက္ သတိျပန္ေပးလိုက္တာနဲ႔
ဆင္ျခင္သြားႏိုင္တဲ့ ကိစၥမ်ဳိးပါ။ စီးပြားေရးခၽြတ္ျခံဳက်မႈရဲ႕ အက်ဳိးဆက္ေတြအေနနဲ႔ ေငြကို

သူငယ္ခ်င္းေရ - မိေခ်ာင္းမင္း ေရကင္းျပသလိုမ်ား ျဖစ္ေနသလားကြာ။ ငါအေပၚမွာ ေရးထားခဲ့တာေတြဟာ ႏိုင္ငံေရးေတြေပါ့။ ဒါေပမယ့္ ငါ အစိုးရျဖဳတ္ခ်ဖို႔၊ ဆႏၵျပဖို႔ တစ္လံုးမွ မေရးထားဘူးေနာ္။ ဒီလိုႏိုင္ငံေရးမ်ဳိး ငါတို႔လုပ္ၾကရမယ္သူငယ္ခ်င္း။ ေရးၾကရမယ္။ တနည္းအားျဖင့္ ေဆြးေႏြးၾကရမယ္။ ငါတို႔အနာဂတ္ဟာ အစိုးရေျပာင္းမွပဲ ေတာက္ပလာမယ္ဆိုတာကို ေခါင္းထဲက ခဏထုတ္လုိ႔ အျဖစ္ႏိုင္ဆံုးနည္းလမ္းေတြနဲ႔ တိုင္းျပည္ကို ကူညီၾကရမယ္။ ငါတို႔ေတာင့္တတဲ့ ဒီမိုကေရစီထြန္းကားလာတဲ့အခါ ငါတို႔ျပည္သူေတြဟာ ဒီမိုကေရစီနဲ႔အညီ ေနထုိင္တတ္တဲ့ ျပည္သူေတြ ျဖစ္ေနမယ္ဆို ဘယ္ေလာက္ေကာင္းလိမ့္မလဲကြာ။ ၾကားဖူးတဲ့ ဆိုရိုးစကားေလး တစ္ခုရိွတယ္။ တိုင္းျပည္တစ္ခုကျပည္သူေတြဟာ သူတို႔နဲ႔တန္တဲ့ အစိုးရပဲ ရတတ္တယ္တဲ့။ ဒီဆိုရိုးေလးမွန္မယ္ဆိုရင္ ငါတို႔စည္းကမ္းျပည့္ဝၿပီး ကိုယ္က်င့္တရားေကာင္းလာတဲ့အခါ ငါတို႔အစိုးရလည္း မင္းေကာင္းမင္းျမတ္ေတြ

၃။ B.H.U Campus အတြင္းရိွ Bank တခုခုမွ ေဖာင္တြင္ေဖာ္ျပထားေသာ ေငြပမာဏကို Registrar B.H.U အမည္ျဖင့္ ေငြလႊဲပါ။ Bank Draft ျပန္ေပးပါလိမ့္မည္။
၄။ Bank မွ ထုတ္ေပးသည့္ Bank Draft ႏွင့္တကြ application form ပါ အခ်က္လက္မ်ားကိုျဖည့္ သြင္းကာ International Center တြင္ ျပန္လည္ေလွ်ာက္ထားရမွာျဖစ္ပါတယ္။
မွတ္ခ်က္။ ။ ဌာနဆုိင္ရာ အခ်က္လက္မ်ားအားလုံးကို မိတၱဴဆြဲထားရန္ လုံး၀ လုံး၀ မေမ့ပါနဲ႔။ ၅။ application form တင္ၿပီးပါက ေနာက္တပတ္ေလာက္ၾကာလွ်င္ မိမိေလွ်ာက္ဌာနသို႔ ျပန္လည္ ဆက္သြယ္ပါ။ ဥပမာ။ ။ Philosophy ဌာနသုိ႔တင္ပါက ၄င္းဌာနသို႔ သြားေရာက္စုံးစမ္းရမွာျဖစ္ ပါတယ္။
၆။ Ph.D အတြက္ Register လုပ္ရာမွာ အဓိကအေရးႀကီးဆုံးမွာ Supervisor ရရိွေရးပင္ျဖစ္ သည္။ တခ်ဳိ႔ဌာနမွာ မိမိဘာသာရွာၿပီး အခ်ဳိ႔ဌာနမ်ားကေတာ့ ဌာနက သင့္ေတာ္ရာ Supervisor ကို ေရြးခ်ယ္သတ္မွတ္ေပးပါတယ္။ Supervisor ရၿပီဆုိလွ်င္ Register ကိစၥ ကိုးဆယ္ရာခုိင္ႏႈံးၿပီး သြားၿပီလုိ႔ မွတ္ယူႏုိင္ပါတယ္။
၇။ ထုိ႔ေနာက္ Research Visa ေလွ်ာက္ဖုိ႔အတြက္ International Center မွ affiliation letter ထုတ္ေပးမွာျဖစ္ပါတယ္။ ၄င္းစာကို ထုံးစံအရ သင္တုိ႔ေပးထားေသာ သင္တို႔ႏုိင္ငံလိပ္စာအတုိင္း ပို႔ေပးမွာ ျဖစ္ပါတယ္။ စာပို႔ခ်ိန္ တလနီးပါး ၾကာတတ္ပါတယ္။ ဒါေၾကာင့္ မိမိကိုယ္တုိင္ ေစာင့္ၿပီး ကိုယ္နဲ႔ တပါတည္းယူ သြားလုိပါက Internation Center သို႔ Request လုပ္ရမွာျဖစ္ပါတယ္။

အထက္ေဖာ္ျပပါ အေၾကာင္းအရာတုိ႔သည္ မိမိ သီရိလကၤာတြင္ေနခဲ့စဥ္က မိမိသီတင္းသုံး ရာ ကုလားေက်ာင္းမွ အပတ္စဥ္ တနဂၤေႏြေန႔တုိင္း ျမင္ေတြ႔ေနရသည့္ ျမင္ကြင္းအခ်ဳိ႔ျဖစ္ၿပီး အမိျမန္မာျပည္ တြင္လဲ အလားတူ ျမင္ေတြ႔လုိသည့္ ဆႏၵမ်ားပင္ျဖစ္သည္။

၃။ B.H.U Campus အတြင္းရိွ Bank တခုခုမွ ေဖာင္တြင္ေဖာ္ျပထားေသာ ေငြပမာဏကို Registrar B.H.U အမည္ျဖင့္ ေငြလႊဲပါ။ Bank Draft ျပန္ေပးပါလိမ့္မည္။
၄။ Bank မွ ထုတ္ေပးသည့္ Bank Draft ႏွင့္တကြ application form ပါ အခ်က္လက္မ်ားကိုျဖည့္ သြင္းကာ International Center တြင္ ျပန္လည္ေလွ်ာက္ထားရမွာျဖစ္ပါတယ္။
မွတ္ခ်က္။ ။ ဌာနဆုိင္ရာ အခ်က္လက္မ်ားအားလုံးကို မိတၱဴဆြဲထားရန္ လုံး၀ လုံး၀ မေမ့ပါနဲ႔။ ၅။ application form တင္ၿပီးပါက ေနာက္တပတ္ေလာက္ၾကာလွ်င္ မိမိေလွ်ာက္ဌာနသို႔ ျပန္လည္ ဆက္သြယ္ပါ။ ဥပမာ။ ။ Philosophy ဌာနသုိ႔တင္ပါက ၄င္းဌာနသို႔ သြားေရာက္စုံးစမ္းရမွာျဖစ္ ပါတယ္။
၆။ Ph.D အတြက္ Register လုပ္ရာမွာ အဓိကအေရးႀကီးဆုံးမွာ Supervisor ရရိွေရးပင္ျဖစ္ သည္။ တခ်ဳိ႔ဌာနမွာ မိမိဘာသာရွာၿပီး အခ်ဳိ႔ဌာနမ်ားကေတာ့ ဌာနက သင့္ေတာ္ရာ Supervisor ကို ေရြးခ်ယ္သတ္မွတ္ေပးပါတယ္။ Supervisor ရၿပီဆုိလွ်င္ Register ကိစၥ ကိုးဆယ္ရာခုိင္ႏႈံးၿပီး သြားၿပီလုိ႔ မွတ္ယူႏုိင္ပါတယ္။
၇။ ထုိ႔ေနာက္ Research Visa ေလွ်ာက္ဖုိ႔အတြက္ International Center မွ affiliation letter ထုတ္ေပးမွာျဖစ္ပါတယ္။ ၄င္းစာကို ထုံးစံအရ သင္တုိ႔ေပးထားေသာ သင္တို႔ႏုိင္ငံလိပ္စာအတုိင္း ပို႔ေပးမွာ ျဖစ္ပါတယ္။ စာပို႔ခ်ိန္ တလနီးပါး ၾကာတတ္ပါတယ္။ ဒါေၾကာင့္ မိမိကိုယ္တုိင္ ေစာင့္ၿပီး ကိုယ္နဲ႔ တပါတည္းယူ သြားလုိပါက Internation Center သို႔ Request လုပ္ရမွာျဖစ္ပါတယ္။

Buddhism is not merely to be preserved in books, nor is it a
subject to be studied only from an historical or literary point of
view; on the contrary, it is to be learned and put into practice in
the course of one's daily life, for without actual practice one
P 17 cannot appreciate truth. Study and practice come first, but above all it is
realization, self-realization
Is it then a religion? Neither is it a religion in the sense in which that word is
commonly understood, for it is not a system of faith and worship. Buddhism does not
demand blind faith from its adherents; here, mere belief is dethroned and replaced
by confidence, saddha, as it is known in Pali, based on knowledge of truth. The
confidence placed by a follower in the Buddha is like that of a sick man towards the
physician, or that of a student towards his teacher. A Buddhist seeks refuge in the
Buddha because it is he who discovered the path of deliverance. A sick man should
use the remedy which the physician prescribes in older to be cured, and the pupil
should study what his teacher says in order to become learned. In just the same way,
a Buddhist who possesses saddha should follow the Buddha's instructions in order to
gain deliverance.
The starting point of Buddhism is real unistanding. or in other words sammaditthi.
man is the master of his own destiny, child of his past and parent of his future.
From this explanation it should be understood that the difference in rays depended
on whether the Buddhas had prayed or not in the past. When one speaks of the
difference of physical rays, one generally means their natural rays. If created by
means of their power in accordance with their wishes, any-Buddha could make his rays
go as far as he desired. In the matter of power, there was no difference at all; one
can never say, "This Buddha was of lesser power" or "That Buddha was of greater
power."
In the lifetime of Buddha Kassapa, I was JotipÈla, a Brahmin youth; then I foolishly
offended him saying, "How can this shaven headed man attain knowledge of Arahantship
and Omniscience. Which are indeed very difficult to attain. Because of that verbal
misdeed I had to practise dukkaracariya for six long years in my final existence."
It should be noted that the differences in height of the Buddhas are caused mainly
by climate and food. Since the Buddhas belonged to mankind and are thus human
Buddhas their life-span is naturally the same as that of the people of their times.
Buddhas do not appear in those kappas shorter life-span because even though the
characteristics of conditioned things manifest themselves glaringly, as their
impurities of greed, hate and delusion grow more at the time, beings are unable to
accept, follow and practice (the Dhamma) despite Buddhas' teaching. Hence kappas of
less than a hundred years of life-span are devoid of Budhas.
